Our Founder

Lu Ann Reeb, Founder and President of Boston Media Group, established a reputation in the new media marketing sector even before new media was ubiquitous, having successfully launched two other digital media companies, Skyways Communications, LLC (1999) and Legal Talk Network, LLC (2005), located in metro Boston. Built on the depth of Lu Ann’s media experience, combined with a strong understanding of business, these companies have created successful corporate marketing initiatives in the legal, technology, life sciences, insurance, education, financial and medical verticals. Boston Media Group was created from client demand for strategic consultative resources in addition to new media and traditional media strategies in global communications today.

Lu Ann’s marketing and communications talents were born from her extensive experience as a broadcast journalist and Executive Producer at CBS/Boston. She is a two-time Emmy Award winner, whose career spanned 20 years. She produced major market live TV news programs, covering the people and events making news and managed a large news staff in Boston. Corporate clients now depend on her understanding of what works in a contemporary world of complex communications choices, where the message has to break through the noise and resonate with target audiences.

Lu Ann says she was fortunate to meet memorable newsmakers, such as Henry Kissinger, John McCain, both President Bushes, Al Gore, Nelson Mandela, Hillary Clinton, John Glenn, Yul Brynner and Pete Rose to name a few. She received multiple Associate Press News awards and community service awards from Crime Stoppers and the Leukemia Society. Lu Ann is also a faculty member at Emerson College in Boston, teaching Marketing Communication and Public Relations as Executive-in-Residence and IMC (Integrated Marketing Communication) Graduate Program Director. She is a frequent speaker and moderator in marketing industry seminars, business conferences and academia on topics such as: The Media Shift, Marketing Strategies that Work and Marketing is a 24/7 Job!

She received her Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at Suffolk University’s Sawyer Business School in Boston and is a life-time member of the International Honor Society of Beta Gamma Sigma. She also serves on the Suffolk University I2E (Innovation to Execution) Board of Directors, helping students build businesses from innovative ideas.

She lives in metro Boston with her family, enjoys politics, writing and the Red Sox. In her spare time, she likes to fly tail draggers as a private pilot.

Dawn Brucale, Creative Director

Dawn Brucale brings a deep understanding of branding and marketing creativity to every Boston Media Group client. “By taking the time to understand and analyze a company’s needs, we develop customized strategies, allowing us to create campaigns that continue to exceed client expectations.”Before starting her own business, The Indigo Group, Dawn worked as Senior Designer and Team Manager at William M. Mercer, NYC, where she was responsible for the development and implementation of integrated marketing and communication programs.

Dawn received her Executive MBA with a Concentration in Innovation and Design Management from Suffolk University in 2008; Completed an International Design Management Program in Milan, Italy; and additional studies and research in the Greening and Sustainability of Print Communications and its Supply Chain.

Dawn has national design awards such as two Silver Summit Creative Awards, the USA & American Graphic Design Awards of Excellence, the Showcase Award from the Association of Graphic Communications and the ACE Award for Communications Excellence. She is also a Design Management Institute (DMI) Member.

Luke Hatfield, Videographer, Animation & Web Designer

Fresh out of the Army, Luke served seven years on active duty based out of Fort Lewis, WA, and one year as a reservist in Boston. Twice deployed to Iraq, he learned the power of patience and a supportive family.
Having learned to use proprietary equipment in the Army, it has been an easy transition into the world of digital media and production. With a unique flair for digital creativity, Luke works in animation, web design, and shooting and editing video. He is pursuing a Masters from the Harvard University Extension School with a concentration in Digital Media and Instructional Design. He has a B.A. in Elementary Education and Business Administration.

Mike Hochman, Production Operations Manager

Mike joined us in 2006 fresh out of college as an audio technician. Mike quickly took the lead on our podcast production, recording and mixing more than 700 podcasts for legal clients in recent years in the studio or on remote locations! He’s become a BMG production expert, and sites manager, who oversees our content marketing production, integration of new media in email marketing and e-newsletters as well as RSS development for clients. Mike also recently supervised the development of an Android App for one of our clients. A graduate of Hofstra University, Mike has great skills and new ideas. He also attends New England School of Law and will be a candidate for Juris Doctor in 2013.

Kate Kenney, Producer

Kate is producer extraordinaire!  She joined the company in 2005 and is in charge of content development strategies and writing for all our podcasts within our legal client group. Kate also books all the guests for various client podcast initiatives. Kate has even starred in some of our own marketing videos. She understands how important reputation management is for all our BMG clients and takes a lead role in PR management as well with development of email marketing, e-newsletters and viral marketing. Kate’s years of experience in client project management makes her a shining star! Kate received her B.A. from Providence College.

Bob Phillos, Video Producer

Bob is an Emmy Nominated, Telly Award winning broadcast producer with more than 18 years of experience in live television and internet video production. Bob has been working with us since 2004, producing hundreds of satellite media tours and client videos. Bob is that guy you want when it comes to project management with clients. He has also become our resident expert in transmedia and social media strategies. Before joining BMG, he worked for the NBC, ABC and Fox affiliates in the Boston television market.  He received his M.A. in Journalism from Emerson College and a B.S. in Finance/Economics from Babson College.
