We don’t work ALL the time at Boston Media Group. We do have fun too and even when something sad happens in our world around us, we usually end up telling it with video. Here are some videos we’ve produced in our ‘free time.’ One is about flying, which happens to be what our founder loves to do in her spare time…but not just any kind of flying. The photo above is good friend Bill King flying biplanes at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome which is a special place – you can watch the video and be taken back in time. Then a very serious video produced right after the Boston Marathon bombings in April 2013 that tells a story about the sights, sounds and emotions that we saw and what we’re thinking when it comes to Boston Strong.
A step back in time in the tiny town of Rhinebeck, in upstate New York, is an aerodrome – just like the ones where crowds came to watch the flying machines in the 1920’2 and 1930’s. It’s a favorite place where antique airplanes still fly and the stories of their pilots are treasures to be remembered.
April 15, 2013 was a beautiful Marathon Day in Boston, marred indelibly when two bombs went off amidst the crowds of families with children gathered along the finish line. That was a moment that left everyone in Boston shaken, but not for long, as our resilient spirit took over. Sometimes we’re moved to create a video that helps us heal. That’s what this video is all about.
