Social Media is fun. It’s a great way to stay in touch and actually have conversations with friends, former co-workers, colleagues and family around the world. It’s not new anymore. But for business, it’s serious business. Why?
Social Media is a way to share your company’s brand. And more importantly, it IS where your clients and customers are looking for information at any given time 24/7. So you need to be there to have the conversation.
What you may not realize is that social media platforms are valuable search engines themselves. What’s that mean? Try it yourself and go to Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Youtube, Pinterest, Tumblr or any of the many choices…and search for keywords. Does your company show up? A social media presence will help your Google ranking too.
And what about the business ROI? Think about it – the Social Media landscape is here to stay and it’s all about mobile today. According to a recent Nielsen Report, “Social Media has fundamentally changed the consumer decision journey. Consumers increased their social app time by 76% (in 2012)” and “more than half of people aged 25-34 use social media networking in the office.” That means YOUR company needs a strategy.
Blog, tweet, friend, share, like, join – all part of communication that’s here for good. Your company’s brand exposure using Social Media, New Media, Mobile Media and Traditional Media needs to be an integrated approach.
